The British Psychological Society (BPS) Special Group in Coaching Psychology was re-designated as the Division of Coaching Psychology in November 2021. On becoming a Division, new professional pathways were launched leading to becoming Chartered Coaching Psychologist through experience and training in coaching psychology. This is at the Level 8 Standards in Coaching Psychology
The two current pathways leading to chartership are listed below:
- Professional recognition route: The professional recognition route is available to you if you hold GBC and have at least three years’ full-time (or part-time equivalent) training and experience in coaching psychology.
- Accelerated route (temporary route) open until 31st December 2024: This route is an abbreviated version of the full professional recognition route, and is available to you if you hold GBC and can demonstrate five years’ full time (or part-time equivalent) experience as a coaching psychologist.
